Nick “The Manimal” Custer embodies the spirit of resilience, perseverance, and grit. In 2013, his life took a dramatic turn when his truck hit an icy patch on Highway 94, veered off a bridge, and landed on the highway below. Without a seatbelt, Nick was ejected from the vehicle, suffering catastrophic injuries. Rushed to Mercy Hospital, he was given just three hours to live and later told he would never walk or talk again.
But for Nick, it’s not the size of the fall that defines you—it’s how you pick yourself back up. Defying all odds, he turned those grim predictions into a story of triumph. After waking from a five-week coma, Nick faced countless challenges, from relearning how to walk and talk to rebuilding his life.
Nick’s story is a testament to the power of resilience and the human spirit to overcome even the greatest adversity.)
